James and the Giant Peach - by Roald Dahl

Summary

There was a boy named James Henry Trotter. He had a happy life until he was four years old. His mom and dad went away to travel and called James's aunts to baby sit him. He had two aunts and their names were Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker. James had a horrible life when his Aunts baby sit him. He had to cut all the wood, he had to do all the chores while Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge were relaxing.

James went to the woods and met a man. The man gave him a jar of crocodile tongues. He said you must put all these crocodile tongues in a jar of water and drink it up and it will give you all the magic . I know your horrible aunts make you do all the work. He cautioned James not to drop the jar, otherwise the other green stuff would go and after a while something will grow big and you might even see insects, ladybugs, grasshoppers and more , and dear boy, you wont get the magic.

James ran to his house to get a jug of water and drink it up, as he went by he tripped on a rock and planted his face on the ground.

The jar of crocodile tongues fell onto the ground near a peach where there were many insects. Oh No !! what am I going to do?  The peach tree got all the magic and a humongous peach appeared. Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge saw this. They wanted charge people money for a bite of the giant peach.

Aunt Spiker said, "Lets do it tomorrow". James went to the peach and noticed a hole. He went inside  and noticed some friendly insects. The insects greeted James and told him that they were waiting for him. The insect told James that they were going to get away from his Aunts. The insects were of the size of James. It was very dark in the peach and glow-worm had to light up inside the peach. James and his insect friends were now in the peach floating on the ocean with tons of sharks. The sharks saw them and were in a mood to eat them all. But James and his crew were on the humongous peach and felt safe there. James threw the webs at birds which started to pull the peach into the air.

The soon flew to a group of cloud-men. Everybody was quite. They passed the cloud-men and then started to rain. Gaint peach sailed through the sky for day and days until they reached the USA.  James introduced himself. He soon became living in a famous house and the owner of that house was soon became James Henry Trotter. The grass hopper was there singing tunes and all you got to do to make friends with Henry Trotter was knock at his door and ask him.  Every day thousands of kids came to famous house. The others went to see his famous monument, the Giant Peach.
